Coca-Cola and Foremost hydrate the biggest Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race to date - Archived

(BARRIGADA HEIGHTS, Guam)—Coca-Cola Beverage (Co.) Guam, Inc. and Foremost Foods, Inc. are proud to hydrate with Powerade sports drink and Fruita+ juice drinks the participants to the 9th Annual Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race held Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014.

The race turned out to be the largest in the event’s history with over 2,000 participants. This is the first year for Coca-Cola and Foremost, the leading non-alcoholic beverage distribution companies in the Western Pacific, to sponsor the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race.

The Powerade Hydration Team made an excellent showing serving ice cold Powerade and water to the half marathon runners at the finish line while other members mingled with the crowd and handed out drinks from the Powerade hawkers.

The Fruita+ Team was down at Ypao Beach passing out Quench Purified Water and bottles of Fruita+ Orange and Mixed Fruit Juice Drinks to everyone enjoying a hot breakfast after the races. The team also helped run the Fruita+ Finisher’s Photo Booth where runners got their pictures taken for free.

Coca-Cola and Foremost put a lot of work into supporting the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race, from hosting the Powerade Hydration Stations in Tumon three evenings a week to keep athletes hydrated while they trained for the big event, to making sure everyone had a good time the morning of the race.

The beverage distribution group extends its appreciation to everyone who helped out, especially the Coca-Cola and Foremost sales team, distribution team, administration, and Glimpses Advertising. The group is looking forward to a bigger, even more exciting event next year at the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015.
