CHALAN LAULAU, Saipan — Foremost Foods Saipan recently donated an additional 200 cases of Foremost Non-fat and Reduced Fat UHT Milk quarts to charities that continue to serve the victims of Typhoon Soudelor. (Micronesia) Inc. and its sister companies in the Transpacific Group, including Subway Investments Corporation, Glimpses Advertising & Publications, and Foremost Scoops, were among the first companies to provide immediate relief to the victims of Typhoon Soudelor in the critical days following the devastation brought by the typhoon.

Group Executive Vice President Marcos W. Fong, who is also chairman of American Red Cross-Guam Chapter, took the initiative to reach out to the American Red Cross-NMI Chapter as well as The Salvation Army, and mobilized company staff and material resources to assist the organizations in providing relief goods to typhoon victims.

“The destruction on Saipan saddens. Saipan is not only a place where we do business; it is home. We will harness our resources to provide what is needed to provide relief and help in the recovery of our island community. We have the capability to immediately provide assistance to those in need. While off-island relief goods are being prepared for shipment to Saipan, our supplies are already on island,” Fong said.

Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race, Sunday, October 19, 2014

Powerade and Fruita+ participated in the 9th Annual Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race, which turned out to be the largest in the event’s history with over 2,000 participants. This was the first year for our brands to sponsor the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race and we made an excellent showing. Our Powerade Hydration Team was at the finish line serving ice cold Powerade and water to runner finishing the half marathon while other members mingled amongst the crowd distributing drinks from our exclusive Powerade hawkers. The Fruita+ Team was down at Ypao Beach handing our Quench Pure water and bottles of Fruita+ Orange and Mixed Fruit Juice Drinks to everyone enjoying a hot breakfast after the races. Our team also helped run the Fruita+ Finisher’s Photo booth, where runners got their pictures taken for free. We put a lot of work in to supporting the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race, from hosting Hydration Stations in Tumon three evenings a week to keep athletes hydrated while they trained for the big event, to making sure everyone had a good time the morning of the race, but it was well worth it! We’d like to extend a  huge thank you to everyone who helped out, especially the Coke & Foremost Sales team, the Distribution Team, Administration, and Glimpses Advertising! Powerade and Fruita+ are looking forward to a bigger, even more exciting event next year at the Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race on Sunday, October 18th,2015!

Local businesses, including Foremost, were invited to put up displays in Payless Supermarkets showing how they would counter hunger. When the promotion ends, all of the milk in our display will be donated to one of the Small Change, Big Difference recipients which is makes participating in this event extra special! Congratulations to Foremost for coming up with such a winning idea and to the Glimpses production team for their excellent execution!
